Welcome to the NCS4 National Sport Security Laboratory (NSSL) Website
The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) at The University of Southern Mississippi has established a National Sports Security Laboratory (NSSL) to meet the operational and technological needs of venue operators and security personnel at sports venues.
The primary mission of this dedicated virtual National Sports Security Laboratory will be to advance sports security by serving as a focal point offering:
- Opportunities for security observation and practice;
- Technology tests and experimentation and ;
- Evaluations of feasible security solutions applicable to sports operations.
The National Advisory Board of the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security has identified video-system person screening and crowd surveillance as an operational and business need of the industry.
The National Sports Security Laboratory has just completed testing of the lab protocols. There are two full technical reports for your review.
The lab also completed a Security Snapshot report for your review.
These reports are currently offered free of charge. Future technical reports will be offered on a subscription basis.
